Code Review

Sebastian Bergmann, Arne Blankerts, and Stefan Priebsch | The Online PHP Conference |

Have you ever asked yourself: what would an external expert think about my code? How "good" is it? This session is your chance to feedback on your work. Join Sebastian, Arne, and Stefan for a public code review. We will explain best practices, and point out what is good, and where and how you could improve.

Here is how you can have your own code reviewed, in a completely anonymous fashion: on January 6th, we will publish a coding exercise on this web site. Every conference attendee is invited to email us their solution (full or in part) until noon on Friday, January 15th, 2021. We will pick interesting examples from all solutions that have been sent to us. The review feedback will be constructive, and completely anonymous. Your name will never be mentioned as your code is being discussed.

About the Speakers

Sebastian Bergmann has believed in Open Source from day one. He is author and maintainer of various Open Source development tools, and is a regular presenter at conferences. In his free time he reads fantasy novels and likes to cook.

Even older digital watches would outperform Stefan Priebsch's first computer. He has been an IT consultant for over 20 years, holds an academic degree in computer science, is the author of several textbooks, and a university lecturer on professional web development. He presents and keynotes at technology conferences around the world.
