Software never lives alone. There is always a status quo of existing legacy systems that have to be taken into account, and that new software needs to be integrated with, or built upon.
In this workshop, we will get to know principles and patterns that will help you to successfully build and integrate cloud-enabled, distributed systems. Topics covered include applying the CQRS principle, event sourcing, integrating systems and bounded contexts through events, avoiding vendor lock-in, and how to make new components work with existing legacy software. Bring your own laptop with PHP 8.2. We will work in groups to build various software components and integrate them into a working, distributed application.
